It's long been said drinking milk after eating spicy food will help numb the burning sensation in your mouth, scientists have confirmed the theory too.

Water makes it worse as most of the heat is carried in the chilli oil and water just lifts it and moves it around more so it burns more places.
Milk (or any dairy) or beer is what you need as they actually reduce the burn |
