I have had some wonderful hot stone spa treatments in the past.
And find it super relaxing at the time. Nothing ever helps me sleep though sadly I suffer with restless sleep patterns. |

Yes I've had a few. It's the heat from the basal rock that I like, and the deep sleep I experience afterwards. |

Yes, I had one on a trip to Tenerife a few years back.
It’s not the same but I explain to people that hot wax play can give a similar experience in that you get a nice hot sensation that can be very relaxing. |

As a certified massage therapist, I have done this treatment for clients many times. It's lovely. Very relaxing and actually helps quite a bit with the massage as the heat from the stones relaxes the tense muscles.
I'd recommend it for sure.
If you prefer more pressure and deeper massage treatments, it may not be for you. |

Elle arranged one of these for me a few years ago by mistake. Thought I was going in for a massage but what I actually got was a few warm stones placed on my back.

Hot stone therapy is also a lot easier on the wrists and hands of the therapist as they can use the stones to do the massage - it sounds worse than it is, it is actually a pleasant experience if done properly. |
