"Let's set up a wee thread and show some appreciation to fact that some of us guys don't need a 6 pack to be confident in ourselves
Let's show fab that we love our bumps and lumps as well"

I go to the gym and my shape isn’t perfect and I am 100% not happy/confident. Don’t be fooled by what’s on the outside to how someone’s feeling on the inside.
I love a woman with shape to her body! Nothing wrong with that |

My Dad bod pictures are available upon request
I’m learning to gain confidence in mine as I was always gym fit but recently my nipples have been moving closer to my arm pits but I’m going to embrace it gracefully |

"Not sure about curvy But chunky... Yes! "
Have you seen Madagascar movie? Reminds me of the hippo character who had lots of ladies admiring his chunkiness |

"No one going to pick up on the word ‘curvy’ to describe men, ah ok, they must have changed the meaning. "
I believe the meaning remains as it has always been intended, to denote that isn’t straight. I have heard women say how they love their man’s curves. |

"Curvy is an hour-glass figure; large breasts, hips and butt with a comparatively small waist.
Yours factually
"
Is that the official definition then. I’m down as curvy as I think I am but I don’t have a small waist for sure. |

Waist smaller than your hips. Hourglass. That’s what I would describe as curvy.
Not fat rolls everywhere. |

Spent too long in my life trying to achieve that six pack look. Never got there and never will. Happy with how and who I am, and Marie agrees. That's all the matters to me. Long live the "dad bod" |

Before covid I was doing OK and was in kind of a good shape. I stayed smooth/well trimmed below.
Now I am full on Dad bod mode and am getting quite fluffy: the silver hi lights are taking over the face fuzz and hair.
I am not sure that I like what I see in the mirror anymore. But it is what it is.
I had better learn to love it.

I’ve not got a dad bod coz I’m not a dad
I’m just a FAT blob that has been knocked back that many times I’m in the Stone Age!
Unlike most of you I HATE my body! I have since a botched operation at 15 turned me from fit to very fat. I was bullied due to this and I’ve struggled with self confidence ever since! I became an emotional eater and was drinker at one point but don’t drink now, the eating is a cycle I’ve broke a few times but to much abuse and boom.
I eat coz I’m unhappy I’m unhappy coz I eat.
I’ve been single for 17 years simply coz I think I’m not good enough!
Sorry ladies I just believe you when you say you like someone like me it’s not the evidence I’ve seen!!

You've gotta somehow find peace with yourself mate. Whether that be how youvare now, or that you can set an attainable target to lose some weight |

I feel your pain. Similar to me a few years ago, I was single and never looked for 14 years, always struggled with weight after breaking my back and struggling to exercise. Comfort eating didn’t help either.
I was single for a long time but decided to put myself out there, totally out of my comfort zone as I’m quite shy but I’m so glad I did.
Still want to lose weight and was managing a little at the gym before lockdown but made a conscious decision to ignore the people I don’t respect and have met some great friends through here and had some great times.
Not met a lot of people but those I have never want a one off (not that I do either) so I must be doing something right and that has helped to boost my confidence a lot.
Still got the whole keg rather than a six pack and doubt that’ll change anytime soon but I’m at ease with myself a lot more than I was.
It’s not easy though for large guys as women have so much choice, and we are so outnumbered. |

I was in a very similar boat five years ago, weighing in at around 26 stone and increasing. Decided to get myself sorted by cutting out takeaways (great for comfort eating!) and , and starting to exercise with a couch to 5k programme. Weight literally fell off but has plateaued around 19stone for some time. However, I have run a half marathon, go to the gym on a regular basis and recently been told I am fitter and stronger than 20 year old colleagues.
You CAN do it. Not easily, and will require struggle, setbacks and sacrifice. You will feel better for it though in the end. |

I did at my biggest get to 20st 10lb so I did something about it and lost 7+ stone to get to 14 stone exactly In 14 months!
I hit my target so I could go out for New Years with mates I was chatting up a girl & all her mates came over and said why you chatting to this fat c#@t. I went from feeling good to absolute shit....the next time I went gym I pushed hard & dislocated my shoulder leading to putting weight back on.
I’m now around 18 stone but need to get motivated to loose more and get to 13stone.
I can do it but it takes focus and any spare time I have outside of work.
Tbh I’ve given up a bit on women (I’m straight) I’m just on here for the pics and to help push myself a bit |
