My sister reckons she sent off a few bits of broken chain and odd earings and got £80 !!!!

I did a while back, 18k white gold earrings that no longer suit me after I changed my hair style from a bob to short around the years a few years back.
Got good price on them.
Also sold quite a few pieces of jewellery at rock bottom prices as they were not UK hallmarked.
That taught me a very expensive lesson - do not ever buy diamond jewellery as an investment, as they are always expensive to buy, dirt cheap to sell.
Only buy diamond jewellery from vendors with guarranteed trade up option! |

Evie hun you aint the only one those adverts wind up I really hate then so much that if Im watching tv I change channel!!!
I wear cheap jewellery always have cos I can change it each time I get bored which is often so what few pieces of real gold stuff I have I want to keep. I only have a locket and charm bracelet and wedding/engagment rings hubby bought me and a few charms still not on the bracelet, so not much point in selling even if we really needed the money cos there aint enough there to make it worth my while phoning up for the stupid little bag!!
However I can see the need for selling old wedding rings but if I ever lose enough weight to HAVE (not want lol) to get new ones (it will be my third set and I only been married once  ) I will still keep them in my jewellery box just in case I do put it all back on!!
Now if it was costume stuff god I have drawers full of the stuff just waiting til its all back in fashion!!
