The Adventures, one hit wonder band with ‘Broken Land’ but the album ‘The sea of Love’ is fantastic as well. If you like stadium rock similar to Simple Minds you’ll like this band as well.
Afghan Whigs, saw them live at Manchester Cathedral a few years ago, they were on Jools Holland and just two songs convinced me to see them.
Some will remember this band from the 80s but, Swing our Sister are still creating some great music. Jazz funk if you’re into that sort of thing and Corinne Drewery the lead singer still looking beautiful |

"Love Public Service Broadcasting too, really must see them live. "
I saw them just when Spitfire was out, really intersting. They have (had?) a fun / obvious gimmick where he had all his "banter" programmed into samples.

Oh bloody loads. Hard to know who counts as "obscure" really. For the average fabber, I expect almost everyone, but around friends, most are household names.
Let's go for...
Bonnie Prince Billy
Shellac
Don Caballero
Clever Girl
CHON
Mouse On The Keys
Shipping News
Minus The Bear

Not really obscure but the Spin Doctors. Only their first 2 albums charted, only had one big hit in 2 Princes. Still together, have made 3 further albums and still tour. |

"Who is one of your favorite. Mine is Chevelle."
I’ve just been going through some old hard drives and pulling any personal stuff before formatting them and destroying them.
Chevelle was in my music folder. Not listened to them in a long time!

"Not that obscure I thought but no one I speak to has ever heard of
Rollins Band
Liar lol"
I thought of saying that, but as I only know it from Beavis and Butthead I didn't know if it'd be taken the wrong way! |

It's been too long. Unless you count Polly's Wednesday nights online (I only managed to catch a couple of those).
Last time I saw them was at Nice 'n' Sleazy in Glasgow with Powderkeg.
Loving The Spangles stuff too. |

There and to the left a bit |
The Redskins - soulful brassy punk with social comment thrown in - their album Neither Washington Nor Moscow is still a firm favourite.
The Simmertones - bright, breezy, brassy ska from the south-west and deserve wider recognition. |

Gemini gentleman!!!!
I’ve missed you.
Has anyone mentioned Harvey Danger?
I feel like they’re quite obscure but I could be wrong.
Also, I’ve mentioned Viola Beach a few times but it’s only because they had so much potential.
