Ok stretching the point here maybe but I’ve just seen the scene where Jo and Kate give themselves up to Steve again from last week....what is going on with Jo’s fingers? They are very mobile when she has her hands up.... maybe nerves at getting arrested? a palsy of some sort? or typing out a code to someone who has ‘eyes’ on her through a telescopic site?? Thoughts? |

"Such a meh episode, worst of all the seasons and a bumbling muppet just doesn’t fit. "
I think that was deliberate to keep the story thread open.
And FYI, I spell definitaly that way too, hmmm ... |

"Such a meh episode, worst of all the seasons and a bumbling muppet just doesn’t fit. "
Couldnt agree more. This season has just felt it lacked the drama/suspense the other series have had. |

Definitely lacked something. The acting in the last episode was almost comedic, lacking emotion |

"I got it right! How smart am I…I could have saved you all at least 2 series! "
i didn’t realise til kate said she had worked with him before that he had even been in it before and i just rewatched them all before this season
shows how memorable they made him thats why it was disappointing i think |

I don't know what you all watched, but I thought it was brilliant!
Yes, the 4th man was a disappointment at first, but then when you look at the bigger story - the Chief Constable refusing to publically acknowledge institutionalised, meaning it will be allowed to continue. What a scary thought.
So definitely no more Line of Duty. X |

That was just the shite acting of her doing Jo Davidson |

What did you all want? The bad guys to be caught?
Maybe this is the point. The ultimate bad guys don't get caught. If you surround yourselves with the right fall guys, the right level of protection, then you don't get caught. They can't pin it on you.
A bit like politics, no one wants to stick their head above the parapet as they're all worried about their own jobs.
It's actually a very realistic ending.
Which, admittedly, isn't what most want from a drama but, you know, life's a shit. |

Very much in keeping with the current zeitgeist, I thought. |

It was almost like it had a different director this series. Nothing seemed to flow like the others. Very disappointed but glad the story has been wrapped up |

Not a fan of hers I must admit. The weakest series by far. |

Yes definitely had a disjointed feel, I’m glad it’s done too |

Definitely. The best - and most honest - ending they could ever have had. X |

I found the last season disjointed and confusing and not very well written.
I just watched the last episode and didn’t enjoy it at all. If they make another series I won’t bother to watch. |

i wonder if the different director feel was because of the filming changes required for covid |

I never considered that. It could well have been. |
