I'm all caught up now. Julien Temple did a good job on this - a great narrative of London through the last 100 years.
The Museum of London had an exhibition of photographs of London since photograpy began. It was well curated and the images of the blitz were opposite those of riots in the 80s - it was eerie how similar they those images are.
If you liked this film you should watch The London Nobody Knows, 1969, with James Mason narrating. Weird and quirky but wonderful to watch. |
