I do hope another team wins one of the tropies next year. No offence, but speaking as a neutral, won't it get a bit boring and predictable if it's the same teams year in year out?

Love united - hate the glazers

Let me make this clear this is 16 years worth of vile ownership. The stuff the other fans don’t see. As a season ticket holder we are treat like crap. The owners are so far stuck up their own bums

I have been on prior protests but couldn’t get to OT today. Lots of people I know did go. Not an issue with fans in the pitch. Flares and cameras should not have been damaged

That's what pissed me off and probably led to the 2010 protests. We let Ronaldo and Tevez go and brought in Valencia and Michael Owen to replace them. We were winning titles in spite of the Glazers, not because of them and I think the camel's back is now truly broken. I'm against any damages done, but absolutely for the protests

As an Arsenal fan who saw the best part of a few thousand protest outside the emirates I have nothing but respect for those who protested outside old Trafford

The American owners of clubs have brought this upon themselves.. leveraging bank debt on the clubs and taking out rather than putting in

True….but the argument is that the glazers have basically taken 2 billion out of the club because of the debt repayments and loans taken out with united as collateral

For me playing the dippers is the biggest game in English football. When the fixtures come out other than first game and Xmas it’s the second set of fixtures

To the lads and lasses at OT and the Lowry that protests peacefully good on ya. Let me make a few things clear

In the past peaceful protest have been attempted in the ground and the forecourt and have been shutdown by the goons that is the united security. The club had an emergency fans forum on Friday to try and stop this, barriers were deliberately moved on Saturday to block off the road.

There was peaceful attempts to hammer the sponsors on social media over the last 18 months, walkouts from games. Lies about Woodward’s home being attacked 10 days ago.

United have been heavy handed with any form inserection. This was a day the fans said enough was enough

That ship sailed a long time ago.

The idea that it's only the big 6 who are the greedy parties in football is a fairly tale.

Why dock them points it was not the team's fault it was the fans

That should learn them. All for a lawful protest but they went too far."

"Looks like united fans will do anything to delay it

Presumably a points deduction is on the way.

been following this all day as a life long united fan im kind of happy about the protests but also a little embarrassed about the idiots who broke into the stadium, today was meant to be about a peaceful protest and it started out like that however the idiots decided to come along and have ruined it for the decent fans, we need the glazers out

"Love united - hate the glazers

Let me make this clear this is 16 years worth of vile ownership. The stuff the other fans don’t see. As a season ticket holder we are treat like crap. The owners are so far stuck up their own bums

I have been on prior protests but couldn’t get to OT today. Lots of people I know did go. Not an issue with fans in the pitch. Flares and cameras should not have been damaged

The esl was the tipping point

They're complete shithouse merchants. Took out astronomical loans to buy a club with practically no debt and then saddle the club with those loans. Sold Ronaldo for a then world record fee and gave Ferguson next to fuck all of it to spend on players.

Ferguson got to next to fuck all?

When was this exactly?

The summer Ronaldo was sold

1 summer..Ferguson regularly broke the transfer window and utd were by far the biggest spenders until chelsea came along.

My point was regarding the Glazers siphoning money out of the club though.

A billion spent between 2013 and 2020.

Ive no doubt they are siphoning money off but what do you expect from American millionaires."

I'm not questioning whether money has been spent in those seven years, I know it has. Not always wisely but yes it has. Again my main point being the hideous business practices of the Glazers and for all they've spent on players they've spent more of the club's money on loan repayments.

i think its disgraceful, im all for peaceful protest... united have been shafted by the glazers taking over 1bn from the club but braking in to the stadium, throwing flares and bottles at pundits and abusing the police im sorry there not united fans they went out today to cause carnage and they tried but thankfully the police were there to prevent that, not am i pissed off the game isn't on of course i am but what's more important peoples safety or a football game obviously its the safety of people, id have 98% of people there today was peaceful but you always get twats and idiots thee that push things that little bit further, those who broke into the stadium should be charged

the glazers keep adding to the load, i mean look at some of the shit weve brought, Di Maria, Falcao, Memphis, Alexis they were meant to be good players but turned out to be shit and they were moved on for less than what we paid, i want the glazers out and a football minded owner in

Oh there has been some daft business done in the last eight years, moving on Zaha before he really got a chance. Buying Di Maria when he didn't really want to come and then Van Gaal plays him out of position. Delay was another one moved on too soon imo.

Agreed on wanting a football minded owner and also not an investment banker making football related decisions.

having a football minded owner is what we need because he or she will know what the team needs and not what a banker thinks we need, they didn't even back José now i wasn't a huge fan of him taking over but he did get a Europa league title, i do however believe that Olé is the right man for the job but the owners there not right for this club

They may very well do but what happens when the FA deduct them five points for bringing the game into disrepute lol

There is something poetic, and certainly appropriate that the team who have been most consistent throughout covid, and having no fans in stadiums, is the club with the biggest squad and the club for who everything special about them came out of the pockets of a sugar daddy

If they don't win the CL hopefully people will stop wanking them off.

Sad really that the biggest club competition in Europe is going to be decided essentially by two billionaire toys.
