Thats what my son said .....his desription of a Garden Centre when I (almost literally) dragged him along earlier this year
Anyway, Im off to a couple today to get a climbing and a bush rose.
I know - this is swinging rock n roll
Anyone else gardening over the weekend? That really sounds like a euphemism |

Oh god I don't know what's worse seeing my elderly neighbours naked gardening or people having to look at me wobbling about |

They are a place to take the oldies for lunch of a weekend. That’s as far as it goes for me. Don’t even like cutting the grass let alone planting shit.

"I didnt keep to budget
What did you buy?"
I bought some more sweet peas, a mixture of plants for baskets -Ive already filled the baskets so had to get some pots, soil to go in the pots, some sheers, a white fuschia - havnt seen one of those before, campanula and some penestroms - cant decide if those were because their name almost includes 'penis' |

Can he do a fab discount?......asking for a friend "
Sadly you’re too far away - they don’t travel well. I hope you have very good independent growers locally |

Over the last month I’ve had a complete new deck and raised border area created so I’m filling it with plants. Today I managed to find Mandaville ‘ Sundaville Red’ it’s a striking dark green, glossy leaf climber with bright red trumpet like flowers. It will flower well into the first frost! Love this plant |

I wouldn't dream of buying anything for the garden there.
Garden centres can often be good places to go for a coffee or light lunch, with a bit of people watching thrown in. Eye up Range Rover wives blowing Hubbie's money while he is out earning it.
My favourite ones have free newpapers (not usually the Grauniad, though). However, I appreciate that you pay for the papers via the menu prices. |

I'll probably keep some indoors on the kitchen window and try some on the sunny side of the garden. |
