Amp amp mystery

This may have just been us, but have seen a fair share of profiles with & amp amp amp at the end of status’ and headings.

Had always assumed they were subtlety advertising the fact that they like to use amphetamines, and we were a little worried about its proliferation in the community! (Each to their own but seemed like there were a lot of users, some very surprising)

Turns out it’s a coding thing and some sort of glitch in the matrix

Feel sufficiently stupid now, my god did we take that to a dark place!

When you said 'amp'....Do you mean an ampersand? - (&)

We do, but it reads as just amp. There’s the symbol itself “&” and then it’s followed by just the word “amp” repeating itself. assume it’s some sort of abbreviation in programming

I think it's when the profile heading etc is too big for the space.

People don't usually go check out their own profiles after they have typed it all up. So they don't notice it.
