Who's struggling being back at work after 4+ months on furlough?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Is it just us or is being back working something like approaching "normal" after lockdown really not that easy? Who else is experiencing disturbed sleep patterns and being permanently knackered even though they're pleased that lockdown restrictions are easing? Has lockdown made you re-evaluate things and start looking for other jobs or have you already found other employment and wishing you'd taken the leap far sooner? |

It really isn't easy, I was furloughed last year for 3 months and my mental health declined. I thought all I needed was to get back to work but after a couple of weeks of being back I had an emotional crash, it was like I had forgotten everything and felt so overwhelmed, work were supportive thougg
Back on track and starting a new job next week. Feeling stronger and ready for the challenge
Just accept and acknowledge how you feel, don't be afraid to reach out and just take each day as it comes.
As for dreams; yep they are a thing apparently. Common in prisoners serving long term sentences |

"Keyworker so we were just busier throughout. I could do with a month off to be honest.
Hope you settle back into work soon those of you who had to stop. Xx"
Yes
And not aloud to take holiday as no cover |

whatever reason you were off its bound to be an adjustment going back after such a long period
people often go back phased after long term absence to ease themselves back in but understandably businesses won’t probably have the capacity but yes i can totally understand how people can be delighted to be back but also at risk of crash and burn |

"I dont want to belittle the ops argunent, but have you ever been unemplyed for almost two years?"
It's different being stuck at home in a pandemic to not having a job in 'normal times'. |

I felt quite a bit of anxiety going back, as the abuse that customer service staff have had to face since covid started, has been 10 times more than I've ever experienced, so far no major issues but I feel it's only a matter of time until someone kicks off.
Have my sleep patterns been affected? Well I was snoring before 9pm last night so I'll have to say yes, but to be honest that's probably not a bad thing, I do need the sleep.
