We had a juke box and every night it was the same old songs

Landlord might change a few but always kept the ones people played

In our local it was

Paranoid every night without fail - black sabbath. ( hated it then . But I fucking love it now 30 years later )

And queen b side ( what’s a bside yung uns ask )

In the late 80s in my local we had a mixture of things like Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, led Zep, Janice Joplin and 80s stuff like madonna, Paul Young, Shakey, Japan, Tears for Fears etc. I guess it was mostly on the alternative side rather than poppy. Good for playing pool to

I was born in 89, by the time I was in pubs jukeboxes were digital and could get nearly all songs so no regular repeats really, certainly not same song every night, that is a special kind of torture

It was sometimes torture

But now it feels nostalgic and kinda cool
