I used to do almost 200 Mile round trip to visit my regular fab friends and have traveled back to where I used to live to visit old fab friends 250 Mike round trip. As it says on my profile I would rather travel for the right people than meet the wrong ones on my doorstep... |

8hr round trip for a weekend away.
Always a risk as no guarentee of play was wanted (even if hoped for). We figured if the chemistry wasn't there we could do a pub crawl and pass out frustrated together |

Used to get the train to London regularly. It was my treat not having to drive and go first class. Start the weekend with a little luxury and relaxation |

I wouldn’t class 16 miles as local either. Local to me means within about a 15 min drive max.
Iv drove for about an hour before... it’s never worth it so I don’t bother driving that far anymore. I prefer to drive about half hour max now

Four hours on windy roads to North Wales to meet up with a relief PA appointed by a care agency to look after an old gentleman at his country estate. She told him that I was her husband so as I could stay at the cottage with her. |

"I’m in Nottingham and I’m definitely heading to Scotland to meet up with a lovely lady
Scotland is beautiful, she’s a lucky lady "
I think I’m definitely the lucky one... I fancy the tiny pants off her |

I once drove from the midlands to Edinburgh and back in a day.
I travelled to Leeds for a social
To Cheltenham for a social
I had a LTR with someone from North Wales (2 hrs drive)
When I met my current partner, she lived 140 miles away and we met 70 miles in the opposite direction!
In my opinion, if you’re focused on the distance, then you’ll miss some amazing people. Connections aren’t about convenience |

To true and the distance is nothing compared to meeting someone you’ve connected with. And who knows were it’ll lead!
I once met a new girlfriend in Istanbul, I flew in from Iraq on my rotation home and she flew in from Birmingham.

I personally don't like to travel over 30 mins to meet someone new.
As my 1st meets are socials.
I have sometimes been stood up in the past which is even more frustrating if I have travelled a fair way to meet someone.
I did have a guy (not through Fab) travel by train from London to meet me for a weekend session of intense tickle torture though!
That was quite a distance from my home in Somerset.
I had met him previously at a fetish event so we were already friends and we both knew play was on the cards. |

Distance has never been an issue for me. I get to know the person quite well before meeting and can usually tell if the drive will be worth it. My sixth sense hasn't failed me yet. I usually like to spend the weekend as then I can go exploring x |

I’ve done similar. Not on fab but met someone in Barcelona, I was working in Madrid and he lived in Paris. The flights were easy.
I try to always stay a weekend so book an air bnb or a campsite in the warmer months. Plus I prefer sleeping alone so it’s good to have somewhere just for me, and it means I have a place to go if the connection doesn’t work out.

It's all about perspective 16 miles that's on the doorstep for me. My commute is almost double that.
I spend all day driving, I wouldn't put a limit on distance but it would depend how well I knew them or how long we had been talking. |

I think that the way that we are all making new connections, and getting to know more about each other during these unprecedented times, it's highly likely that long distance romances are likely to blossom after it's safe to meet. Also those of us who can accommodate over a long weekend are likely to have a ball as couples from further afield would like a change of scenery, but don't want to risk international travel. Also I think that you are likely to see a lot more half way meets. Ask that question in the future, and I think that you will see some very varied answers. |

I hardly get replies from same town women, so I doubt I would find someone even further. But I won’t travel more than an hour. It’s tedious and burn energy that I rather keep for the meeting.... |

I don't mind an hour travelling . Although I met a lady halfway she's from Essex and I'm from Yorkshire. She booked a hotel for us. We are still friends to this day. It was worth the two hour drive for both of us |

Yoy start off with lofty aspirations. No distance too far.
But if you travel a certain distance, you would have certain aspirations.
Now, your a couple but don't want to muddy the waters too locally. How far do the ripples wake?
