Weight loss part 6
Jump to: Newest in thread
Well between the 11th of April and the 18th I put on 10lbs but it wasn't really unexpected, since then I've lost 3 lbs and feeling optimistic I can lose a bit more throughout May if I don't over indulge |

That's either got to be surgical or you just need a very big poo. Not gaining and losing any actual body weight that fast."
Yes thanks had my prunes for breakfast.. |

I have an excellent way to lose weight. Lost just over 2 st in two week. However , if you slip, your body piles it on in no time. It's will power at the extreme. And yes, I put it back on, well cream eggs are on the shelf...... |

As you probably know, weight fluctuates all the time. It's best to look at it over a longer period and a good trend should be visible. I used to obsess about readings from a body composition meter at the gym (more out of scientific curiousity than anything), but I've stopped now as I could see the fluctuations. |

That sounds like water retention and an intolerance, It takes 3 days for your body to convert your cals or cards into fat, guaranteed if you ate no bread or bad cards for a day or so it will go back down |

I had to have a medical procedure which required measuring weight. I refused that for years as I knew I would be obsessing about number. However, my energetic nurse took liberty to tell me I lost around 25kg in the last 2 years so I'm incredibly happy with myself. And may it continues, slowly but surely. Good luck everyone. |

Dunno if I fit in here, but I’m actually trying to gain weight to fill out for my weight class in competitions.
I use a spreadsheet that I enter my weight abs calories consumed every day and it crunches the numbers to tell me exactly how much I need to eat.
I’ve decided to gain at a very slow rate. Just 0.25lbs a week.
I need to eat 5200 calories. For only a quarter lb of weight gain a week.
Needless to say my food bill is disgusting but I’ve very much enjoying eating multiple pizzas every week, roughly 15-20 cheese burgers and 4-5 boxes of cereal. And that’s just dinner |

You must be constantly excercising are you?"
Physical job 6 days a week, 10-13 hour days.
Gym 5-10 times a week |

This is out the window now. I’ve decided instead of cutting down to a weight class, I’m going to instead fill out for the next weight class up
5200 as if this week but I expect it to go up. More food = harder training = more food needed.
Within 2 weeks I’ll probably be around 6000 |

Reduce the carb's helps cut in take of food as your less hungry and drink plenty of water |

Really? I find less carbs more fats keep me fuller.
Currently sitting around 800/900g carbs s day, but it is a little annoying preparing so many carbs, and 800-900 seems excessive.
Probably bump the fats up to around 100–150 and see how I get on. |

If you look at weight gain supplements they have a high carbs which makes you eat more because you have the room for it because you continuously feel hungry hence put on weight as for fat monitor, so many ways to reduce this to and remember can be reduced from exercises I think it's easier to control fat then it is carbs because your trying to reduce food intake having smaller portions and some cooking oil are better like linseed oil |

I've slipped in the last two weeks. I've been out eating bad stuff and had a few drinks plus stopped my exercise.
Starting to notice it creeping back on so back out tonight for a 6k walk. Will be back walking daily again, its so easy to put it back on quickly!! |

Don’t just go by the scales go by your clothes. Since I changed departments in work I now do on average 32 thousand steps per shift. I’m not going to the gym at all or doing any other form of exercise but I’ve lost weight even though the scales don’t show that much of a loss. Muscle weighs more than fat and if you’re stripping fat but gaining muscle the lbs aren’t going to show much difference but your body shape will change. I noticed putting my favourite pair of denim shorts in the other day, they were hanging off me, I couldn’t wear them but last summer they were a bit tight! |

Muscle weighs the same as fat but is more dense, so takes up less space, so yeah I’d go with how you feel in clothes.
I know myself I can become a bit obsessed with the scales, but great to measure yourself too and see it coming off |

So after a week of using what I thought was a calorie deficit but was actually maintenance calories for a man and not losing anything I have lost 3lb this week after adjusting to the correct calories lol. |

I have been doing online listening therapy as I was at the end of rope with it all and it seems to be working, just small things like stopping before eating to question whether really hungry. I have lost about 2kgs so far. |

There and to the left a bit |
I've got to the point where I probably need to stall the weight loss without gaining again - through walking have lost almost three stone since the end of January, but am now at a point where I'm comfortable with my weight and losing too much more would see me looking gaunt, so need to find a balance of extra calories vs exercise. |

"Resurrecting this just to say since trying to calorie count I have lost 16lb so far.
That is all. On with your day
That’s brilliant "
Thank you
Challenging week next week as I'm on leave and its birthday week but lots of planning and buying the right foods to eat during the day and saving calories for the evening so should hopefully be OK |

Amazing! Well done you!
After struggling to lose any more weight for ages, I managed to lose 4 more lbs and I've maintained that loss since. I'd like to lose a little more but nothing huge. It just gets so much harder to lose those last few lbs! |

After breaking my foot about 6 weeks ago i had stopped trying to lose weight, pain and lack of mobility were the only things i could think about after a few weeks. Now my fracture boot is off so I am back at it |

Thank you, it's much easier to get about without the boot, although more painful !!
The fracture hasn't healed yet, it's just got a small bridge on one side of the break, very odd. X |
