Just been reading the outcome of the case....truly shocking. I really feel for all those workers who were convicted or let go, absolutely devastating. |

Yeah and all those people who confessed to charges because they couldn’t explain the missing money, people who paid money out of their own pocket to make up the losses....the only evidence was the IT system and the company knew the system was faulty. Outside of the failings of the company, poor police detection, poor gov oversight...so many things would have had to be wrong to end up in this outcome. |

Working in I.T. I've seen it so many times that "bean counters" insist a system goes live while the techies say it's not been fully tested. I do hope the people are compensated for what has been a lengthy and horrible experience. |

i hope those who were convicted and sent to prison take the po to the cleaners.
i know it will never make up for the time spent inside but i'll know who to blame for the increase in stamp prices! |

If you want to get even angrier, look up Paula Vennells the chief executive who left with a huge payoff in 2019.
An Anglican Priest, she's made no apology, denied responsibility, and was even awarded a CBE.

Andhe PO were prosecuting people from around 2000 to 2014 evn when they knew there were issues.
Someone knew what was going on. They should face negligence charges at the least, preferably perverting the course of justice & face a sumilar prison sentence.
It's no different to cases where the Police have witheld evidence that might have thrown doubt on a conviction. |

Not far |
The whole thing makes my blood boil. The PO were shredding documents that might have been used as evidence against them and the government is not minded to pursue a case against those responsible. |

I have been following the Post Office nightmare for about 5 years .Vennells who was CEO along with the board ,& IT ,company new it was faulty. Yet lied time and time again people's lives ruined, ended up in jail ,and sadly some people took there own life .Yet still not settled.
I say Vennells and others get a prison sentence .
A big pay out Post office staff taken to court .
As this life as showen Vennells probably run of to the Priory claim ing Mental health problems.
An utterly SHIT HEAD |

She should be jailed and stripped of the CBE."sir" Ed Davey needs investigating. His excuse he was misled is pathetic. He made no attempt to gather information independently and come to his own conclusion. At best he is s gullible incompetent buffoon,at worst complicit. |

"What happened to all the money that the postmaster has paid to correct the balance where did it go? Who has it? It must still be in the system somewhere."
Said on last night episode it went into the Post Office profits no idea how true it is but given the rest of the story highly likely |
