After chatting to some friends this evening, it was suggested that the word "wank" came across as quite manly and not a ladylike way to explain what you've been up too.
I've personally always just used the word "play" and never thought much about it until now.
Some of the suggestions given tonight were:
Ladywanking
Doing a Meg Ryan
Paddling the Pink Canoe
Buttering your muffin
How would you refer to it yourself, or do you use the word "wank" as well?

I think it's just personal preference as I've heard all sorts of terms from both men and women.
