Like Ruggers said on the Nicola Adams thread about women fighting.. its bad enough and cringe central especially when women have d*unken brawls and scrap.. I didnt think i would be comfortable to watch it, but the control was just outstanding. |

having a scrap outsde the kebab shop is a hell of a lot different to Judo/taekwondo/boxing
the first two have lots of respect drilled into them in th dojo and i should imagine any decent boxing gym will encourage appropriate use of skill |

bit lost with the taekwondo rules... our guy loast a Qtr Final but just won in a repechage for a chance of a bronze...
can anyone explain as surely the 2 losing semi finalists would fight off bronze?  |

Quarter-final repechage pulls losers from the quarter-final round only. The prior rounds are single-elimination. Losers in the quarter-final from two pools (e.g., A and B) are entered into one bracket of the repechage first round. Quarter-final losers from the other two pools are entered into the other bracket. Repechage losers are placed in seventh place. Winners of these matches play against semifinal losers of the opposite bracket. Losers are placed in fifth place and winners are awarded with bronze medal each. |
