The cop was wrong. Floyd was a scumbag who is no loss to society. Win, win.

The irony here is staggering.

"The cop was wrong. Floyd was a scumbag who is no loss to society. Win, win."

He is a loss to the children and family that he has left behind. They now have to grieve whilst their family members life is mocked by people.

His criminal behaviour doesn’t warrant celebrating a man’s death who in this instance didn’t deserve to die.

The cop was wrong in what he did, he was also thrown under a bus by all concerned. He was going to be found guilty regardless.

Try telling that to the women who had a gun pointed at her by Floyd, while pregnant as his mates robbed her house.

Glad to know that if you committed a crime in the past, in part due to systemic oppression you face that limits your opportunities, then its okay for someone to kill you.

Do you know her? She may well have forgiven Floyd for what he did, she may well be sorry that he died in such circumstances, she may well be an empathetic person who knows what Floyd did to her is wrong but ALSO knows that what Chauvin did to Floyd is wrong too.

He was actually held accountable for his actions.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. He was no saint but didn’t deserve to die in the manner he did by the knee of a smirking police officer.

His actions were in-line with SOP for detaining suspects in the US.

I think the comments on this thread just proves the point we need to do better.

The police or anyone for that matter have no right to take a life full stop. It may be justice for one case but if police brutality doesn't change, it's not enough
