"Daniel Craig."

I'll add to this. How many Bond actors come across as a trained assassin. A cold hard killer? Very few. Bond isn't meant to be nice.

But earlier Bonds were from a different era. Sensibilities, if not misogyny, were more delicate.

The humour allowed him to be a hero who never seemed cold at all.

That was what made him popular then and then allowed him to evolve over time to be more like the book character.

I like each version to be honest I think Roger Moore brought something to the role that kept the franchise going. As did Timothy Dalton. Now Daniel Craig is getting the character to be closer to the way he was written by Fleming.

But obviously George Lazenby was the best

I agree to a certain extent the cheesiness was part of the era.

Daniel Craig is an outstanding 007 I love how dark, cold and calculated he is.

as a member of the international James bond fan club I've been to a few premiers and met a few of the stars.

I did apply for the role and would have got it but I didn't have enough verifications to be convincing.

But yes, Daniel Craig I think has been excellent in getting the bond films popular again. He has that don't give a fuck menacing attitude I think the role needs.

Very nice chap if you get to meet him.

Timothy Dalton looks wise, Pierce Brosnan humour wise and Daniel Craig for bad assness

Torn between Sean and Dan! Both gritty, but Sean was impossibly good looking back in the day!

100% Daniel Craig

And my vote goes to Idris Elba to replace him. I think he’d make an awesome Bond! But whoever gets it, he’s going to be a very tough act to follow!

Indeed, wondering if someone would pick up on it, he played him on the radio. David Niven llayed him on film first but each JB is different.

Moore and Craig for me

Moore has to be the worst, followed by Brosnan. Enjoy Connery, Craig and think Dalton would have been superb had he a few more movies under his belt.

Between Connery and Craig it's down to the actual movies. There are some stinkers in there regardless of the actor playing Bond.
