Why has the recent announcement of a new soccer Super League caused such a reaction from Association Football fans.
I have never had any interest in team sports of this nature, but my impression is that football at the uppermost echelons has really become a highly lucrative investment opportunity for the world's wealthiest ultra-rich, and that the ordinary fans are actually a sideshow, there to fill the terraces or seats.

It was interesting listening to Boris at his press briefing doing his best not to comment.
My guess is that he is really on the side of big business but is mindful of the fans because their votes will count at the next election. |
