What makes a good first message?

No one liners is a favourite start... and ensure your profile is up to form, as many just read the sender's profile, before/instead of the message.
Be respectful, ensure you conform to recipients stated preferences and that something of you comes across.
Probably don't have a standard message that you send to everybody - it'll get stale, and not seem like it's really addressed to them. |

For me a long description of what a man wants to do to me would be an instant turn off. Not a fan of 'Hi how are you' messages either.
I prefer something with a personal touch thats perhaps a little bit funny. I like to see a mans personality come through whilst showing he'd read my profile by perhaps making a comment or reference to something i've said. |

I take all your points, but it's hard to get a personal touch with someone you dont know. i always try and get a reference to their profile, but some people don't help and then complain when your message is dry ha! |

this may be something pedantic, but a pet hate of mine is pictures you have to look at by turning 90 degrees to the screen. Attention to detail is everything and that shows a sloppiness normally associated with a greedy girl's pussy at the end of an exciting night! |
