Are Hot tubs tacky?

I always think a hot tub and jacuzzi are essentially the same thing and not tacky at all.
A hot tub is just usually cheaper so people may find them “tacky”. You can get the blow up ones and they’re more available/accessible for people. If you had a marble jacuzzi in your garden along side a pool those same people would say it’s classy. |

Who gives a shit if somebody who is not in one thinks they are tacky? If you like them, use them. If you don't, don't. Anybody who wants to say they don't like them so other people shouldn't use them is just a busybody.
And for the record, we don't think they are tacky. |

We would have a hot tub of we could. We wouldn't let anybody have sex in it though and anyone who shared it would need to shower first. I didn't use the one at our leisure centre because I saw too many people get in without showering |

If I stuck a big bath outside and said to people , come n sit in the bath with me while we are having drinks...... they'd think i'd flipped.
It's just a big bath ..... that's allllllllll it is.
If you don't like everyone at the party well it's hard luck you've just got to bump uglies with them in the water.......  |

The only thing a bath and a hot tub have in common is they both hold water, dose your bath have chemicals in to keep it clean, heat its self, filter its self, make bubbles, or have room for 8 people, our hot tub dose all them things and more |

I don't like the word tacky - it implies that you think you're better than the thing / person.
I like the idea of a hot tub because it is essentially a big bath - but I am a little bit grossed out by the bodily fluids etc that are in it.
They're not for me unless it was mine and I was sure it was clean  |

There's also CO2 & UV systems now as well. Lots of swimming pools are changing over as it's safer than storing the acids and chlorine on site. |

i don't think sex is tacky , or hot tubs are tacky, but when you put them together i do think sex in hot tubs is tacky ... riddle me that one |

You don't have to use chlorine in them. You can use bromine (which is what I use) or there are "natural" sanitisers that use oxygen. |

I really like them , not just for swinging , just relaxation summer or winter....im building one and a sauna soon in the garden of my new place |

Frankly don't give a dam. We love ours and the space we've created for it. It's just so nice to get naked, jump in, unwind and enjoy the garden. It's a beautiful space in the sun, in the snow or under the stars at night. |

Totally get this! Sadly only.been in one once but was a light snow and couldn't care in the slightest.. absolutely loved it |

Before covid I was a regular at a hot tub social and it was a place to meet and have normal conversation with fellow swingerd and if u wanted to get intimate u got out and found a room so no surprises in the tub |

I bought one last year. And got great use out of it for about 4-5 months, put away for winter, I loved mine ad definitely couldn't care less if anyone things its tacky after a 10hr shift and commute from work it was a welcome treat.
I hope to get a shed or a gazebo built to house it so I can use it all year around. |

I've had mine a few years. It's my go to place to relax, de stress and unwind. I can have music playing, can hear the birds or see the stars if I'm in it late in the evening. I have mood lighting too. There is nothing tacky about it. I keep it immaculately clean, pH balanced (dip it everyday) and use chlorine granules. It is definitely worth the money and I highly recommend them. |

The problem is that the water that I would fill it with contains chlorine. I can't have a bath. |
