20 years at or near the top of the thread making game, I still feel the butterflies when I select a topic and am just about to press send on another groundbreaking thread for The Lounge to feast on. The day I don’t feel those butterflies is the day I stop, till then this maverick will plough his own furrow, until the thread shed stops unearthing new treasures.

I think I’m grounded enough to never take threads for granted, admittedly I started this one and immediately logged out thinking when I logged back in someone would have started a part 2 on my behalf, rookie mistake, I got complacent, even with my experience, I know that now, but I will go away from this a stronger thread starter, always tend to your threads in the early stages, before it takes off and blossom’s into a life, a lesson learnt. |

While I was waiting for the site to start up in the early days I used to give post it notes to strangers on the street with Marry, snog or avoid on. |
