Not necessarily so OP, many ladies have age limits which are older than 45. You just need to find them.

There are situations where others will still chat you if you're outside their age range.
I'd suggest being patient with those that catch your eye and maybe they'll cone to like you - no matter your age.  |

For what it is worth I was still getting the occasional meet into my late 70s and prior to Covid and my own health issues.
Now into my 80s and with no sign of my health improving I have now confined myself to being a Forum junkie.

This is why I'm not massively keen on hard and fast age limits.
You're one age, you're potentially acceptable. Then you have a birthday, and now you're another age, and no longer potentially acceptable.
What changed when the clock ticked past midnight? Why is someone who was potentially acceptable yesterday no longer potentially acceptable today?
Imagine going out for your birthday drinks or something. You meet someone in a bar, hit it off, it's all going amazingly... and then they find out it's the *wrong* birthday. "Oh, I'm sorry. Twenty-four hours ago we'd have been fucking by now, but because the date changed you'd just going to have to piss off instead."
Obviously I respect the boundaries that people set, but I can't help but observe how abrupt and restrictive they seem in an online context. |

i might be wrong but it suggests it says more about the age of profiles you are shopping for
i would expect people of a similar age as you to have filters open for people within their own age bracket |

Ur age doesn't matter .ur profile will attract women and couples if it's available. Iv ad women contact me wen I'm clearly out of there age limit. But they like wot they see .u need a pic atleast on ur profile .how do u expect 2 get reply

I’d think most folk are already including a few years buffer in their age ranges “just in case”. So if it’s set at 49 (boo hoo turned 50 a few months back) their ideal upper is more like 45. |

Age might seem a hurdle for us older guys but if you do have a meet and make a good impression then from then onwards it doesn’t matter how old you are!! - just how good you are and how much fun you are to be with! - keep smiling |

I would gladly have a higher age limit if I didn’t get guys regularly looking like they are 20 years older than me pretending to be 40 something...
if you are going to lie at least choose a realistic age hahaha

Thanks for cheering me up! I did some research. Seems that most of the south west ladies have an upper limit of 45. Even some of the ladies that are over 45 themselves have an upper limit of 45!! But there are some who go over 45. That’s good.
Age is just a number. It’s what you can do that counts! Beside, older I get the more exciting the brew and conversations become!!  |
