the caterers don't answer my phone calls or emails.. so I dont know if everything is sorted.
my shoes still pinch my toes.
so ,
do i keep telling my self... everything will be alright. dont worry..
or do i
scream, stamp. rant and blow my top....

1 you have 16 days so get yourself a fab meet every night and that will burn of the necessary calories so your dress will slip on
2 book a good old karaoke
3 KFC party buckets no need for anything else
4 bare foot is cool

Breath....... glass of wine? Feeling better?
When was the last time you heard from the caterers? You have internet start ringing round until someone says they can do the dance bit.
You have 16 days to workout and diet THE ZIP WILL DO UP.
If you really do panic go get a body wrap they make you loose inches.
As for the shoes get your other half to stick his feet in them and stretch them.

with the moon n stars somewhere in gtr manc |
Turn up in my pj's, trainees (trainers depending where you are from) tell guests to bring their own picnic and put ya ipod on.
To be honest, I'd be awful, I'm a self confessed 'worry about having nothing to worry' about person (hence one reason for me never to get married).
However, a tip for the shoes is wear thick wooly socks and walk round the house in them of there is a shoe stretching thing you can buy instead of using soggy newspaper rolled up.
Seriously though, chill for the rest of the night, deep breaths and I am sure everything will fall into place, and you will have a wonderful wedding day xxx |

Hun get a lace up put in the dress in place of the zip, and get a relative to do a buffet (everyone has a relative that does a mean buffet, don't they?) And hire a dj. Doesn't matter as long as the people that matter are there to share it with you, congratulations!x |

i agree with the sentiment as long as the people that matter are there ... FSM will be there.. for a while we thought he might not be.. and to be fair we still dont know the outcome, but he is here now and things are looking up..
this was a " how do you deal with this" thread,...
so far....
1 i have made an appointment to see my dress maker tomorrow morning in the hope she can perform magic.
if not,,, hey anyone wanna go shopping for a dress? lol
2 ,, loaded the I pod with 20 hours of our all time fave songs..
3, left a serious message with my cater that If I dont hear back from her by friday, I will assume she no longer wants my business and will go elsewhere.
4, I am sitting here with thick wooly strippy socks on and my shoes..
I look so damn sexy....
so like I said, I am a mix of the two.. rant rave, cry then find solutions....
thank you all for you kind words and congratulations..
oh and the advice.. the one about wine.. or was it gin?? |

I'm sure it'll go well. Contact your venue, and ask them to Chase the caterers, using the guise of needing to sort access etc.
The wedding dress will for, just have faith.
The music - may seem odd. But on Saturday go to your local city or town. If its anything like oxford there will be some cool buskers that are very good. If you see some you like approach them. Oh and wear your shoes with other halfs socks on. Start with two pairs then one. They will stretch.
All will go well I'm sure. |

*** UPDATE***
OK, dress maker can work her magic and sort it, she wasn't fazed at all.
caterers phoned me and emailed me, with apoligies, and all is in hand....
when I told her about the music, she has thrown in a kareoke machine for a small! fee, so music and food sorted, shoes on ice in the freezer, as told to put sealed bag of water in shoes, as it expands will stretch shoes.. so we will see.
so todays theme song is..
" dont worry .. be happy "

So glad it's coming together HSM, and felt for your pain before this point.
Now, take some time to enjoy yourself, and really relax, just in case those stress hormones are still around in your system. |
