I've never had an omlette before and according to my friends this might as well be a crime against humanity haha. But the reason for this is that I've never known what to put in it.
What are your favourite omlette fillings? I'd love to try any suggestions you guys have |

"Anything but ham. I’m not veggie but don’t like ham on pizza either.
I do like a simple onion, mushroom & tomato. The best I’ve ever had was near Notre-Dame
J x"
Thank you, I definitely want to try something simple first |

"Spooky OP, I live in Derby and am making an Omelette later, gonna slice some red and green peppers, mushrooms, onions and grate some cheese all mixed up with 4 eggs and some black pepper "
Now that sounds good. Don't mind me if I'm in your garden, face pressed against the window |

"Pre fried crispy bacon, olive oil fried spinach and dolcolate or other strong cheese, a bit of basil and/or chilli according to taste "
Great suggestions. Do you think there's too much going on there? I was only looking at a couple of ingredients |

"Smoked salmon. And sprinkle of dick.
If someone quotes me and changes dick to dill.. I thought of that first "
No idea what you mean. I love smoked salmon in a bagel with cream cheese. I'll definitely try it in an omlette |

They're only nice with cheese in them in bread - otherwise your on the road to disappointment "
I'm doing my best to be better!
Bread in an omelette, can't say I've heard of that before |

Oh I only like mine without cheese
I tend to put BBQ sauce on mine too |

Woah woah woah, I was just talking about fillings but I don't think I could handle bringing sauces into the conversation |

"Really you been missing out. Throw a your favorite in the middle. Presto your perfect meal. I love salsa on mine."
Now salsa seems a good idea. Save me chopping up the peppers and tomatoes |

"Cheesey jalapeno omelette with red and green peppers.
Spanish omelette"
That actually sounds amazing! As I was only thinking of having it as a breakfast food though, I may stay away from the spicy stuff |

Good choice to avoid spicy if it's for breakfast |

Keeping it simple works really well. Many vegetables, including mushrooms are great. Different cheeses add varied tastes and make them very filling. You can add some fresh herbs too. Experiment onwards just from mushrooms or those with onions. |
