The Americans and Brits pulling out completely..

Was it worth it after 20years

What would an Afghan say. What has the coalition done for us?

What has the coalition done for 'us' ?

That's some question Tom. It's a question that governments sent troops in to benefit 'us'.......

It's pretty clear they didn't. Nor did they do it to benefit the people they are leaving behind with an uncertain future...

Many Afghan eyelids and hearts will sink. ....... Their country is one of eternal war. If someone is not trying to prosper from using their land then they are deserting the population and will place their fate in the hands of others without conscience.

It may go straight back to fundamentalist control, so I'm imaging the general Afghani citizen is thinking wtf was all that carnage, mayhem and bloodshed in aid off,

Were no better off, fir the almighty wests involvement in our country, praise be America

I’ve worked there and they didn’t like the coalition after we over thru the taliban because we stayed. Yet most of the original taliban were the old school mujahadin that defeated the Russians.

But they also hate the new Taliban because most are foreign fighters and not try Pashtun people.

They’re at war with themselves if there’s no one else to fight! The northern alliance was made up of fighting warlords

Complete waste of lives and resources. Same as virtually every other war. Fought for profit to the military industrial complex and the politicians in their pockets.

Glad we leaving been there only change that can happen is from within. They are a warlord radical society. We attempted to help time to move on.

Not a land of eternal war. It was a fairly progressive country until there was a Communist coup in 1978 and the Russians sent troops in to prop up the government.

I know of a couple who for their honeymoon in the '60s did an overland trip and drove through Afghanistan and found it peaceful.

It was a rhetorical question but I agree..... His D.N.A. is in very many people world wide.

I'd prefer to say he impregnated unwilling women than fathered.....

Fathered sounds so kindly .....

That would have been a myth to strike fear into his opponents..

Take what Chroniclers say with a pinch of salt..

Nobody has managed to conquer Afghanistan, tho everyone has tried, from Alexander the Great to the British Empire. Most Afghanis won't be happy to see religious fundamentalism back in charge though. Poor folk.

Herodotus is an example of that

It will return to something of what it was before. Afghans are very tribal and without an enemy they tend to fight each other, gaining some wierd sort of balance in the end.

Afghanistan always seems to take the fight out of people who dont live there.
