Inspired by the sound of silence forum post, what are your favourite covers?Ones that genuinely try something different, not just a straight up X factor style cover!
One of mine would be Ryan Adams cover of wildest dreams by Taylor Swift  |

It's really weird because I hated disturbed cover of sound of silence, but their cover of the genesis song land of confusion was superb

Try their cover version of We Can't Stop (Miley Cyrus).
I also rate Ed Lieb's cover version of Born To Die (Lana Del Rey).

"Yazz "The Only Way Is Up" isn't a bad cover
This is one I only found out was a cover a couple of weeks ago. Real good childhood memories.

I think most people would think the same as the original sadly isn't played
It's my genre so i heard the original first decades ago and then when I heard the yazz version I thought omg I recognise that

Wow, never knew so many fabbers had good taste in music (pixies/head on, Lloyd Cole/Chelsea Hotel, Ryan Adams/the whole of 1989)... would have to add Tainted Love by Soft Cell, and the whole of Sorry I Made You Cry by the Czars (John Grant’s former band for all you fellow music nerds out there). |
