Why keep them, they just clutter up you're inbox. Plus if site supporter all old message are in the message trail if you scroll down, so You can refer back if want too.
Any message you want to keep - like stresses or numbers, then save them. |

Every message you have stored needs space on a server somewhere which requires power, more users = more messages = more servers = more power. It adds up.
You could delete messages to reduce your carbon footprint.

Nice thought, but not actually true. In data centres, they still use magnetic disks for storage and for pure storage an empty disk will use just as much power as a full disk. It's actually reading & writing the data that uses the power. So deleting a message is actually using more power than just leaving it there... but so is reading it.

"To make room for new ones.
To keep things tidy.
To get rid of unwanted ones.
Sooo many reasons. "
Yes that’s the case
It appears some folks get really upset if you have a tidy up and don’t keep them as a permanent reminder of their mithering lol |

"Ye I was just wondering cause I get a lot of deleted messages lol"
I think you’re probably referring to all the ones you send that are deleted cans not replied to.
Simple answer to that one is that folks may not be interested in the message and they get dozens of them and if they bothered to read or reply to them all they would have to take on staff lol |

"Why do people delete their private messages?"
Further to the last
Had a look at your profile and it’s deletion material all round without a second thought, you really need to work on that and be constructive. |
