...at the Olympics. It seems they're not happy that we're winning all the gongs at the velodrome. Sommat to do with a 'magic wheel'... that was manufactured in France.
And now GB are leading the men's triathlon and the other brother is in 3rd, with two frogs in 4th & 5th... are they gonna moan about 'magic legs' now? |

Team GB are winding them up with the wheels. It's quite funny and quite clever. As soon as the races finish the wheels are off and bagged up suggesting they are something special. They've been doing that for some months at all international meets. It's mindgames and it has worked. Almost every track cyclist uses Mavic wheels and they are all on the same ones - even Mavic (a french company) have said that they are the same as everyone elses. |

Reminds me a bit of years ago in F1 when Lotus first came up with the idea of fitting ground effect skirts under the car, (the Lotus 86 which became the 88) but kidded the ENTIRE grid that they had a revolutionary gearbox and clutch. They went to great lengths to 'protect' the gearbox section of the car from prying eyes whenever it was in public and it even prompted Ferrari to spend a HUGE sum on trying to develop a gearbox to match it!
It was a good few races before it was sussed out but the psychological effect on the other teams was significant.
