Who is that Australian actor that played The Joker in the Batman film? Him.

Reply privately (closed, thread got too big)

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

None.

Am not into Celebrity culture and while its sad when anyone dies its not really sad for me as in losing a family member, close friend, work colleague, etc, people who you interact with regularly (aside from Covid).

There’s many a musician who’s music i loved (such as Freddie Mercury and Marc Bolan) but i was not grief stricken, unable to function or depressed when they died.

What i found more distasteful was how Harry and William had to keep that stiff upper lip when their mum died when she obviously loved them and doted on them so much. That was just cruel and was more painful to see than feeling any pain myself about her death.

Philip Lynott - kings call (if you know the song)

The only ‘celebrity’ I’ve ever got upset about. Mainly because I loved his music (even the solo stuff) and I was young, so death wasn’t something I was used to at the time.

So as the song says ‘I bought a bottle of wine and a bottle of gin, I played his records all night and got d*unk all over again’.

Well I do on the anniversary of his death and it’s not gin but Jack Daniels

I don't really get shocked by famous folk passing away but when the news broke about Amy Winehouse I did take a moment to think about what a talent we had lost

I was certain no one would know who Simoncelli was but the forums always uncover a gem.

Poor Nicky...all he’d done only to get hit by a car.

I was racing MRO in 2006 when Nicky won the title from Rossi.

He’s celebrating lap brought chills to me...that smile and those tears.

Worthing

Princess Diana. I can still remember the phone call from my brother. Not often I am shocked by a famous persons death but that one definately did. In music, I recall as a young lad being very saddened by the terrible accident that killed the rock guitarist Randy Rhoads.

"Keith Flint from The Prodigy"

THAT was scary shit!! In his own words he told the world that once he'd achieved all he had aimed for he was gone. Then he was!! That's got to be the most frightening one I've ever heard about. To actually have your departure PLANNED out in your head when you've achieved your ambition.
