Does work excite you? Is it a new exciting thing that waits for you today that makes your body pop out of bed? Do you open your eyes naturally to the sounds of the birds or is it a load alarm screening through the curtains of your slumber?

Tend to wake up naturally around 4.30/5.00am...have been know to just get up and go for a walk/run, however that hasn't happened in a while, and now I'm finding myself falling back to sleep, and being woken up by the 6am alarm and getting ready for work. I'm fortunate to have a job I enjoy.

Left to my own devices I’d sleep until 8 .. longer if I’ve had a late night.

New puppy is a twat and howls at 5 for a wee then won’t go back in her crate so I’m up. Then she will crash and burn at 7 (she just has) and now I can’t snooze as I have my first work call at 8.

Good job she’s cute

Secret hideaway in the pennines

I don't have an alarm, but just recently, I have been awake at about 7:30 irrespective of what time I went to bed.

It's very annoying, as it's only me here.

My cat wakes me up - she gives strident ear piercing little screams to get my attention and if I am still in bed reading Fab forum she will come to my bedside, stand up and tap my shoulder with her paw.

"Her... Snoring...

I sympathise - I was married to an extreme snorer- many years after I left he apologised as he had spent the weekend at a friends and they had kept him awake snoring from the other end of the house all night. He always said I was exaggerating or making it up. Sleep deprivation is officially torture.

Noise of some kind.

Housemate, cat or outside are usual culprits.

If not, daylight through the curtains
