The duo Tahar Rahim/ Jenna Coleman were so good !! The dynamic of her empty and his manipulative look were so well portrayed

I thought he was excellent, manipulative perfectly describes him, there was just something frighteningly calm about him. She was perfect with him although I don’t think I would ever have thought of casting her.

Great soundtrack as well

Can't agree more with you there !

Really looking to watch the Mauritanian now !

If you haven't watched a prophet I highly recommend it. First of Tahar Rahim.

The one thing I took from it is that you can't trust the French.

Oy don't be cheeky , i am taking exception to that unsubstantiated comment .

This said , I liked it but found it a bit long winded

I ‘half watch’ most things but this you couldn’t not sure if I loved it or hated it for that

Agreed...and I couldn’t, got a little tedious, so my brain switched off. By the end I didn’t care.

I’m going to check that out now. I actually loved the jumping back and forth. I like that, keeps me alert. And I love Karen Dalton, Jacqueline Taeib, Jacques Dutronc. It had a lot going for it as far as I was concerned

It was really good! They look very similar to real characters and loved the fact that they shoot the same pose they gave by the table with a story

On a mooch

I enjoyed it, a fascinating story well told. It had me wondering whether Marie was participating by choice or Charles had something over her.

Free will or not ? It could be argued that he was influenced as well through his upbringing
