Having a debate. What makes the best roast dinner? In particular what meat are you having (or alternative) and how are you having your potatoes?
For me lamb with mint sauce and it’s got to be roast potatoes every time! |

"A nut roast that has a hint of something sweet like apricot or cranberry. Crispy roasties that are fluffy inside, well cooked and seasoned veg and good gravy. Yum! "
Never had a nut roast but I am a sucker for an apricot or cranberry stuffing. Any stuffing with fruit gets me every time |

I think you'd like a nut roast that has fruit in then . Nut roasts are kinda similar to stuffing but with bigger chunks of nuts/veg. |

Roast beef, a really nice cut, no tubes
Mash AND roasters, parsnips, sprouts, mashed turnip, cabbage & carrots...... AND stuffing, that's not just for Christmas or white meats. It tastes good so I'm having it, Yorkshire pudding & gravy. Please & Thank you.
What time Sunday do you want us

Ok. I will try one.
I actually feel a little anxious at the thought of it. Maybe I have deeply buried vegetarian biases I need to work out lol |

Haha! Trying a vegetarian option is only expanding your choices, not taking any away. You don't need to not eat meet to enjoy vegetarian food. Most people like a good margarita pizza! |

"Absolutely lamb and mint sauce. I love it with pumpkin
Pumpkin? Not tried that with a roast. Roasted?"
Yes, bit of olive oil on top. (Disclaimer, this also includes what in my dialect is butternut pumpkin) |

Whichever meat or cut you choose (assuming it's not vegetarian), the key to a really fantastic roast, is the resting time! Standing it properly for the right amount of time is what makes it juicy and tender. Then it's all about the trimmings, and the homemade gravy! |
