"Watching the Magic Roundabout remember those adult themes "

Watching TV of the era of The Magic Roundabout is only allowed if also watching Captain Pugwash, Emily's saggy Bagpuss, Rod Jane and Freddie on Rainbow, and a rerun of TOTP with a cigar chewing DJ introducing Puff The Magic Dragon.

Oh how the world has changed.

Even if the more modern teletubbies had names like tinky winky.

Some of the past was definitely innocent, playful joking about. However, there was also a massive amount of advantage being taken by a few people.

Personally, I'd rather live in the 60s 70s 80s. However, in hindsight, I do realise that back then, there was a different view of consent, just as there was a different view of consent in the Victorian days.

In Victorian days, men would assume that a woman consented to having sex with him if she was a woman.

In the 80s, men would assume that a woman consented to have sex with him if she said "no" - because in the age of new man, no meant yes. I'm thinking of an era of Rita Sue & Bob Too.

In the 90's, women started to find their feet. Male and female started to go their own ways. Being bi was becoming acceptable. In the music world, boy bands and girl bands equally strutted their stuff.

In the 2010s, swinging clubs started to become main stream. Men started to become respected if they would accept "no" as an answer. Sex stopped being seedy in the sense of furtive wanking over Sharon Stone at a family cinema complex. The dirty side, away from unwelcoming eyes continued with dogging in secluded car parks and dark rooms in clubs, places where consent should still be asked for and the word no should be respected.

Bit of an Easter Monday rant.

Swindon, made by a French man on acid - Honda are streaming their eyes out laughing at this.
