Singletons! Anybody else had a quiet Easter Sunday?

So it’s been a beautiful day outside but....

My kids are with their Dad, so it’s just me myself & I today. All my friends are in couples and have kids so they are doing the family thing.

So it’s just been me.. which I don’t mind, haf a long walk, donned the bikini to enjoy the sunshine, cracked open a bottle of rose and chatting to fab friends!

So to all you singletons, not with family & friends today just saying hi.. let us know how your day has been, if it’s been rubbish we may be able to cheer you up.’

More importantly you are not alone...

I agree, the sunshine makes a difference and lifts the mood.

However on my long walk today it felt like there were only couples & families around which made me feel like a sad loner.

I was due to be meeting a Fab friend today for a socially distanced social, but work called (for her). I put the day to good use though and just enjoyed the weather and well, being single.

Mine has revolved around my mum who has to stay in bed as much as possible to try and get the better of a Medical condition. I'd sooner be doing that though than placing flowers on a head stone.

It's been ok, a really lazy day.

My son will be home from work at 8pm so a late dinner and I'm trying to resist all the chocolate

I actually went and sat in a mate's garden this morning for a socially distanced coffee.

First time we've met up since August, it was lovely to have some real live company!

Thanks for the cheerful post OP, been trying to keep as busy as possible, but felt the isolation a little bit this weekend.

Hope everyone got to enjoy some sun this weekend

I’ve tried to keep cheerful as well! But it is admittedly a struggle when you are on your own as I am.

I hope your day is going as good as it can be . Xx

Up very early, people poping over to give eggs and books to my daughter.

Rest time now as she has her head in one of the books and I can chill out.

A nice Easter Sunday really, exercised this morning with a few mates who I’ve not physically seen for months, caught up a bit with them, went for a walk to get a few things and dropped off some supplies for a family member. Now chilling, might crack open a beer and think about something to watch.

Hope everyone else is having a good / positive day where possible. The sun helps, for me anyway, it’s been the nicest it has been for ages on a weekend so it’s nice to get out.

Wirral.

Quiet one for me, though it was nice weather.

All my friends are couples and were doing kid things. Though it wasn't as bad as being alone over Christmas. Should have been up in Scotland, visiting family this week, too.

At least I had large amounts of chocolate. X

Fairly quiet, went to my local cricket club to help with the ground work before the season starts, did a bit of training, ate part of my Easter egg and just watching the football.

It's been a decent day

I've been on the sofa all day feeling rough, well been on the sofa since wedensday pm when I left work early, due to feeling unwell

As live on my own been eating simple meals as don't have energy too cook forgot to by myself an Easter egg too!

Fingers crossed I'm fit for work on Tuesday, doubt it though as suffering from eustachian tube dysfunction, glue ear if I was a kid!

All in all pretty shit, but hey ho I couldn't have done anything anyways due to lockdown

But that’s ok in my world!

Thank you for that very nice reply, I wasn't actually expecting that. My mum is actually the reason why I haven't got any recent verifications, other than the one yet unposted from a couple I know from a few years ago who have now returned to the site, and if that means putting play time on hold for a while, so be it. I'm not Norman Bates by any stretch of the imagination, but it will be a cold day in hell the day that my mum goes into a care home. All the very best. XXX Dave
