Lasering pubic hair?

Jump to: Newest in thread

I've been getting Hollywood waxes regularly for years as I can't shave and much prefer being smooth. However having to leave the hair to get long enough to wax again is a nuisance, so I'm wondering about laser hair removal.

I'm naturally blonde and the regular waxing means the hair tends to grow in pretty sparse anyway.

Does anyone have any experience of having pubic hair lasered? Side effects? Risks? How many treatments are needed? How much does it cost, roughly?

A girl I work with has had all her body hair lasered. Cost her £2000 and she needs top up sessions as its not been 100% successful

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

And it hurts! And that was just my top lip. But should hurt less with blonde hair.

Thanks for the info (both of you).

Waxing hurts too. Not so bothered about it being painful.

They sound a bit gimmick-y to me. I could be wrong though.

It was a lot of money and not permanent - as soon as my menopause started it was all back. But then my hair is black and the laser system doesn't work as well on black skin.

I'd check first hunny, if I'm not mistaken these things don't work too well on blonde hair, so don't buy a home device till you find out for sure. I think the light travels along the pigment, so the darker hair is better for it.

Think I saw an infomercial about that... it's expensive if I remember correctly. Does anyone know if it works as well as they claim?

According to the feed back on 'Amazonian UK' shopping... it is NOT a good option.

Have a look there, and look at the Philips version as well as others, there are hundreds of reviews to help you decide.

I bought the Philips one after it being recommended on here - plus eading loads of reviews on line. It has worked well on the areas I've used it on so far... I've a bit of trouble reaching me foofoo though since the back op lol! so can't vouch for the pubes

LOL I epilate everywhere else so only need a better foof solution. Epilating down there is not an option. Too much loose skin!
