In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

....but there are plus sides.

I'm currently laying in the dark in bed singing at the top of my voice.

What slightly mental reason do you have for enjoying living on your tod?

I love living alone

I cant think of anything I don't like about it.

I was 44yrs old until I lived alone for the first time - I feel free for the first time in my life

Everything is mine and on my terms - there is no better feeling!

Although I dont currently live alone, I have done for a long time before.

I do also have my own room in shared house so:

Naked time

Bed to myself

Peace and quiet (i often sit in silence for hours on my phone or reading)

Doesnt matter what you look like

Farting without offending someone elses nose

All the food in the house is yours

That makes complete sense, I have been living alone for 44 years and still sometimes have doubts about whether I am doing the right thing.

Haha. I had a dream of living on my own a couple of days ago. Trust me...I don’t deal with it well, and it showed.

A run down shack of a house without curtains in a run down part of town. I was sat in the middle of an Undecorated room playing with myself on a wooden dining chair...

It only me and the Kevin like teenager who sometimes emerges from his room grunting for food, so it's like living alone.

Share my bed with 4 cats who constantly play a game of musical chairs to gain prime positioning.

Good things are I only have to answer for myself , can play music as loud as I want and sing loud and proud and do all the tap dancing I want.

If we are happy it’s great the next week dependant on our mood it’s soul destroying. Then again being in a relationship is exactly the same. Grass is never greener

This is my life

Except 2 teenagers

Add 1 dog

No tap dancing

I do love the music bit though, my choice of things to play, whenever I like

In non-plague times it's great to be able to do completely random shit without having to explain it to anyone.

If I decide after work one night to take a 2 hour round trip to visit a coffee shop I quite like, I don't need to tell anyone about it, that I won't be home for dinner.

If I get home from work feeling socialled-out then I can sit in complete silence looking at the sea all night with nobody constantly disturbing me with noise.

There's nobody there to judge how I spend my time.

I don't have to compromise, I don't have to explain myself, I don't have to justify anything. Under normal circumstances it's pretty much perfect.

It is! It's also tough working from home, as seeing nobody for days at a time can feel incredibly lonely.
