Did anybody read about smarties easter eggs, there are ten which have a check for 1 million pounds. A mystery person has donated 10 million as a way to cheer up the nation as we come out of lockdown, they are hidden inside smarties easter eggs and only in certain chain of shops. |

I'm not sure it's actually allowed. In my days working in retail you weren't allowed to have a promotion which is effectively gambling. You couldn't be encouraged to buy something in the hope you win a prize. That's why on most completions for things you buy they always say something like "for an equal chance of winning send your details to..." That way you don't have to pay for a chance to win so it is not seen as encouraging gambling. |
