"first set...."
he had the first set at Wimbledon too and we all know how that ended..
Good luck to him all the same, but sadly i think its a silver for GB
This will be one thing id loved to be proved wrong at mind.. |

Its gonna be close but if he can take the 2nd set it will inspire him onwards plus i also think he has more to play for with GB behind him and after wimbledon |

OMG... I only started to like him as a person after his loss to Federer a few weeks ago. Thought he was a twat up until then.
I'm now totally behind him against one of my all time faves.
Come on Murrray and Team GB!!!

"6-2 6-1 Murray so far and I'm fainting away through holding my breath.....

I might do that too if I keep bouncing up and down on the sofa edge! |

"only problem is they where the rest of the tournament is best of 3... the final is best of 5....
lets not count chickens....."
I know Wimbledon repeating itself the last time they played. I'm hoping the rain stays off and the roof stays open so the dynamic of the game doesn't change. |

"Murray has just gone up in my estimation, at least he made an attempt at singing the National Anthem, more than can be said for those over paid footballers"

He paid scant lip service to the anthem. It's blatantly obvious he's a nationalist. Giggs was even worse and had his lips clamped firmly shut during the anthem. It's a pity he didn't do that when fooling around with his brother's wife.
I'm glad Murray won though, you don't beat Federer like that too often. I'm genuinely pleased for him, and I hope he gets the doubles Gold too. |

I genuinely don't think he knew the words except for 'God save the Queen'. |

I think that too actually. Neither Giggs or Murray would have that as their anthem when they play under their respective nationalities. |

"I thought Federer looked very lacklustre, without wishing to take too much away from Murrays achievment his opponent didn't seem his normal self."
He sure wasn't, losing three sets to love. I bet he hasn't lost like that for some time. |

federer may not have been at his best.
thats nothing to do with murray, his task was to beat, the federer who turned up.
i'm hoping this is a catalyst regarding grand slam titles, fingers crossed.
well done andy murray. |

Personally I would rather he have lost. Unpatriotic? Yes but only the same as he is. I wouldn't be sad if he never won anything, not because of any nation issues but he is thoroughly unlikeable in my book. |
