lets just hope the amazing success of the olympics inspires fat lazy kids who are inspired by the likes of jordan and that 'towie' that being an athlete is far more rewarding
you never know it might even inspire adults that sports are the way to get the body you want.
those fad diets and Wii fit machines are not going to get you fit.getting out and sweating and hurting is the only way |

I do think that people get inspired by it, lots of current ahtletes say they've watched the Olympics when they were little and wanted to be like 'them'.
Hasn't stopped me from becoming big as an adult though. lol
Have to say I've been watching the swimmers techniques very closely and been trying to use them now in my swimming sessions. |

My little one is only 2 and a half and since winning a medal at nursery for running in the 'Olympics' she has barely taken it off..
she's always dashing up and down the hallway and out in the garden shouting out 'CHAMPION' when she finished with a massive round of applause for herself. Love the buzz London 2012 has caused. |

Fitness can be bad for our health!
I was one of those kids who exercised and indulged in every sport and athletics regime I possibly could. Physical activity was a normal part of my childhood, every kid was shooed out to play and to enroll in clubs. I carried this mindset on into adulthood.
Right up till my late forties I was still physically active and striving to do more.
But now my joints and body are prematurely worn out with my 'healthy' lifestyle, my doctor agrees that a lot of it is because of my fitness and sports regime from childhood onward.
Next time round I'm coming back as a sloth. |

Lots of people that have worn out bodies from leading far from healthy lifestyles too. And as much younger ages. I feel for you but how do you know that that toll on your body isn't a case of despite your lifestyle rather than because of?

Sprains and strains, muscle pulling broken fingers was all part of my sports, plus ankle and knee joint was worn away with lots of running etc. |

Seems we need a balance. Because I feel the strain now for not having exercised for many many years. |
