The one I see from my balcony every day. Reminds me I've nearly made it through the day.

Brighton - even Hove!

A few years ago there was a mega sandstorm in the Sahara and we got some incredible pink, red orange cloud sunsets.

On April 10, 1815, the Tambora volcano in Indonesia produced the largest known eruption on the planet during the past 10,000 years and sent more than 36 cubic miles of pulverized rock into the atmosphere. Entire villages were buried under thick pumice deposits. The ash and gas spewed into the atmosphere formed an aerosol layer and circled the planet. Average temperatures dropped over the next year, turning 1816 into the “year without a summer”. The aerosol particles scattered sunlight and produced bright red and orange sunsets in Europe for up to three years after the eruption. J.M.W. Turner was one of the artists who painted these stunning sunsets. (From the global fool site )

Watching the sun set over the Welsh hills from a strategic spot on the banks of the Mersey is pretty good

Not sure about sitting on the Mersey but it is a nice view. That’s on one of the three days of the year that it was sunny at home mind!

I have seen beautiful African sunsets, and seen the sun fizzle into to ocean horizon from a boat hundreds of miles off shore but for me it is about who you share the moment with that makes it magical! X

In front of my house, across the Valley, there are large hills and the sun sets behind them and it looks beautiful. I love pinky purple sunsets.

Try again

A couple of years ago now at my nephews 21st birthday party, the section of the restaurant that we were in was quite high up. The balcony outside where we went out for a ciggie had a fantastic view over Epping forest, just as a beautiful blood red sun was setting over it. Just checked and I still have the photo :o)

The sunsets we can see from our home. We are so lucky in that we have amazing unrivalled views of open countryside for miles and miles. There is nothing standing in the way of the view of amazing sunsets. There were some really beautiful sunsets a few weeks ago. It really looked like the sky was on fire.

Nature really is amazing.

"In front of my house, across the Valley, there are large hills and the sun sets behind them and it looks beautiful. I love pinky purple sunsets."

That reminds me of another nice tune...

"I've seen the sun crash into the ocean

And paint the sky purple and pink"

not so Littlehampton

From my cousins front door looking West to the bridge onto the Isle of Skye. Absolutely stunning, a total tourist must do when visiting and I fell in love with the place just for the views
