I thought about cabin crew when I was a kid, as my best friend's cousin was one and looked lovely in her uniform.
Then I stopped dreaming.
I would have loved to be a Prima ballerina but I don't have the joints for it.

"I wanted to carry the ring to Mordor."
To be a ring bearer is to be alone...not that he ever was..
I really thought my daughter would enjoy that film but she hated it. Her opinion was, why didn't they just fly it there on the eagles in the first place? Kids, eh.. |

"I would probably be in CID now. Unfortunately I was too short. Childhood dream ruined by my stupid height sighs "
Height restrictions for UK Police were removed by Sept 1990. You would have been @18. Before that it was 5'4" for women anyway.. |

I always wanted to be a nun. My nana use to take me to a retreat on day trips when I was little and I was in awe. When I was a little older I wanted to be a Buddhist monk, but found out I’d have to be a Buddhist nun instead which meant I’d never truly be enlightened, so I went back to wanting to be a catholic nun, much sexier outfit |

Was going to be a vet. Had an offer at Cambridge but I ballsed up Physics A level (fuck you, Mr KC and your fucking 100% on the practical exam AND astro paper ) So I headed to study microbiology instead but it's okay. That's been a pretty decent choice to be honest and I'd be absolutely scuppered now as a large animal vet in a fucking wheelchair |

Then I grew up and realised I had no profitable talent "
The nocturnal thread regulars would disagree, Jamie. You are great with animal facts |

A teacher, from the age of 5 that’s all I ever wanted to do. I became a teaching assistant instead and have loved my career. Only have one year left to do at uni to actually become a teacher but not sure I really want the stress of it. Left education on maternity leave 5 years ago and was perfectly happy as a stay at home mum until lockdown happened and I accidentally walked into a job in the admin side of healthcare. Has reignited an ambition to look into family care work if I ever decide I want a full time job again |

I was lucky enough to take my dream childhood job. Had it for 5 years as well and got to travel the world as a professional football manager.
Can’t wait to get back into the game. |

It was 5'6. That's why I couldn't join. I got told I was 2 inches too short and I remember that like it was yesterday. I applied at 18 and it would have been June/July.
I did get offered the job many years later but declined as I couldn't imagine taking the bleep test. I would have collapsed |

Wanted to get a degree in purchasing. Unfortunatley became critically ill and taken years to recover from. Hoping to go back to college and restart working towards that dream |

As a kid I thought that jobs were a man made construct designed to keep the masses occupied while in pursuit of material possessions that we don’t need but are convinced that we do through social pressures to conform, to keep up with the Jones, I thought then as I do now that we would have been better off carrying on picking berries and living off the land. |

Could you still take flying lessons ... I mean I'm not volunteering to get in the back while you drive it but you could still have a go. |

There are two different questions here.
What was the first thing I can remember wanting to do as a child? Answer: Fighter pilot. Planes are cool.
What's my dream job? Answer: I do not dream of labour. |
