"I only make passes at girls who wear glasses.
I’m glad to wear glasses but I’m bracing myself for the unavoidable age-related ‘bifocal’ conversation." verifocal way to go |

That's good to know. How do they work? Do you get the tests done somewhere else and send them the prescription? |

They have funky software that let's you try them on online if you get me but not in person. What I did before everything shut was went round trying different styles on in specsavers then went online to see if they had similar styles |

Yeah so get your prescription from your optician (they have to give you a copy by law I believe) the once you've decided on your frames you can put it in online. You need to know your pupil distance (PD) which isn't on your prescription but some sites have an app they use to find it out or watch some YouTube videos. It's really simple to do. |

"I wear glasses... when Im not wearing contacts. Have since I was a kid.can't wear contacts(shudders) at the thought of touching my eyeballs!"
Took me a while to get used to it, but I was never too squeamish about eye touching... That said, my opticians keeps mentioning laser survery and that looks a bit much |

Yep, have to wear them 24/7 but I love them, they are a part of me.
I actually feel weird without them on! I do like to wear the occasional contacts though for meets or nights out etc.

I love my glasses because they disguise my big nose a bit. I've grown to resent them a little though ever since face masks were introduced. If I take them off I can't see a thing and if I wear them I can't see a thing through all the fog. *sigh* |

I'll flash my specs for a bit. Always told I should get contacts but if I can't see with my glasses off how will I be able to put contacts in? Lol
(Yes I know where my eyes are)
Also biggest pain In the arse is getting new ones.. i try some on, look in the mirror to confirm to myself I still can't see shit without my proper ones, the assistant will always tell you that you look good, always, so get them, go back to pick them up and walk out looking like Deirdre Barlow or a throw back Elton John lol Hated when I first started wearing them about 15 years ago, but now they part of what makes me , me.. |

God yes! It's fucking horrible! When I hear people complain about how they can't fucking breathe I feel like shouting WELL I CAN'T FUCKING SEE!

Its slightly better if you have a mask that sits high enough that you can get your glasses to rest on the outside of it. Most commercially available ones really dont work for glasses wearers though |

I've tried that but then my glasses slip off. I think my big frames don't help. I've also tried tape, tissue and fog spray.
I should really just buy contacts but I find glasses much easier. |

I do like my glasses. I have two pairs. One of reading and the other for both distance and reading. I would rather wear glasses than risk laser treatment. LOVE a woman who wears glasses to (not had sex with a woman while she is wearing glasses but on my "to do" list!). |

I can relate... I'm lucky enough that I know someone who does a lot of quilting who made a few masks for me that solve that problem - but anytime I have to use a 'normal' mask with glasses its like trying to play Silent Hill in real life...

For me the light from the ringlight gives a horrible glare to my glasses so you can't see my eyes, that's why I usually avoid taking pictures in glasses (same with flash)

Be prepared to be strong willed to get your prescription without buying glasses from them, they do have to give you a copy but hate doing it.
It all starts when you're allocated a helper to choose your frame before your actual test.
Just be polite but firm that you only want your prescription |

What works for me is a mask that has a metal bit inside the mask near the nose bit as you can squeeze it over the bridge of your nose and it don't fog mine up at all as it closes the gap up.
Also heard of washing your glasses before hand with washing up liquid but not tried that.

It's nice to wear them occasionally though |
