100% open with family?

Just wondering how many people are completely open with their family and friends about the lifestyle? Also what positive and negative experiences you've had?
I could never tell my parents but hubs parents probably wouldn't be shocked lol x  |

When I first joined 6 years ago I was very open about it, which wasn't a wise move as some people judged. Only my sister knows I'm here again, for safety reasons. She thinks it's hilarious. |

We keep ours private apart from a couple of close close people, for our jobs, local community being close knit, our kids and for the future discretion for anyone we meet locally. If everyone knew this about us we wouldn't be able to be as discreet as some of the people we meet like x
But I do have random pangs of unbridled excitement and dgaf attitude where I'd happily run down the street proclaiming our new lease of/way of life, I'd love to tell people and just see their reactions, I never will but wouldn't it be exhilarating? |

Ha! Almost all my friends, some coworkers (especially some on here) , and my supervisor know. My mom doesn’t know, but would probably roll her eyes and shake her fists, but resign herself to the fact that I’m an adult and can do what I want. She already knows I was a dominatrix. My dad would just have a heart attack— so no one tells him anything for his own safety (but I wouldn’t be opposed to disclosing).
Living life much more openly, if that is desired, is always a relief— repression is not advised.  |

only one of my friend knows I'm on here she is the one that told me about this site lol apart from that none of my family or friends know and I would like to keep it that way I like being discreet no one needs to know what I do x

Everyone knows about me.
Most the time I get curiosity, support in living a life that makes me happy and the occassional joke at my expense but I can live with that.
I have quite an open minded family and it didn't exactly surprise them, I have always been a little....wild
My kids dad was and is still the only negative reaction and it wasn't be who told him but it didn't phase me.
My body, my life, my choice and god it feels good to not worry about people "outing" me or having to lie and keep secrets when I have club nights x |

A couple of friends know, all male, oddly.
My family would judge, different generation, but that said, I don't feel the need for people to know. |

Nope nobody knows and nobody probably ever will. Unless your in this lifestyle, you don't understand so those conversations would be awkward, uncomfortable and judgemental.
We are in our own little bubble and that works fine for us  |

I couldn't tell any of my family or my partners family as none of them are open minded enough to understand this kind of thing. I'd be called all sorts and probably be labelled as a cheat because I would fuck outside of my relationship. |

Two of my closest friends know, but otherwise I don't discuss my sex life with family or friends. It's none of their business.
If they found out I wouldn't be horrified (I'm not ashamed of how I live my life), but I've no wish to discuss it. |

There aren't many people it would be appropriate to talk about our sex life with even if it doesn't involve anybody other than us. We certainly wouldn't bring it up with parents or at work.
There are a few we would talk about our sex life with just as they might feel comfortable talking about theirs. We would probably feel quite happy telling most of them about our exploits with other people. There are a couple of them who we make sure we keep posted. One is interested in going in that direction herself and the other just thinks what we get up to is hilarious. |
