I saw that today. Struck a nerve in how my Mum was treated for the slightest “infraction”

Not read the story but I know how these things go.

Spent my married life trying to not upset my husband by making his gravy too thin, or not cutting through his sandwich properly.

I lost all the home stuff my mum bought me to a husband who was raging over something I had done he didn't like.

My cooking was often a way of him to excuse his attacks.

When I think about my life with him it's like talking about a dream I had. It hasn't tarred my view of other men.
