Everyone says that Joanna Lumley and Michael Palin are some of the nicest people.
I've been trying to think about others (it's amazing how bored you can get at work) and all I can get is :
Lorraine Kelly
David Attenborough
Carol Kirkwood
And others? |

"Keanu Reeves
Looks after on-set staff and is a gentleman."
Does loads for charity too, but doesn't talk about it. They're my favourite type of peoples. |

From personal experience.. the late and lovely Dave Prowse... absolute gentleman, Robert Englund... again... a gent and a genuinely lovely person.
My jammy sister had the good fortune to meet Sir David Attenborough in person.. one on one... she still... 12 years down the line raves about how fabulous he was... and insisted on her calling me (at her work... not really allowed)to thank me for loving his programmes xx |

"And Tom Hanks
Yes, good shout.
Keanu Reeves
Yes definitely, and he's been delt a few rough hands in life, to boot. But still so lovely and generous."
I love that life hasn't made him hard, despite the terrible experiences he's had, he's stayed kind, humble and just a lovely human. I'd love a coffee and a hug with him. |

I met Michael Palin and he was adorable and surprisingly bashful.
I met a few famous people when I worked in a bookshop and they came to do signings. Bill Bryson is lovely, as is Nigella and Ainsley Harriot. I'm sure they were all on their best behaviour and working to promote themselves, but they were very nice to us bookseller plebs behind the scenes. Jeffrey Archer is a cunt. |

"Apart from me
Stephen Fry"
I think Stephen Fry is a lot of things, and nice is certainly one of them. But he can be prickly too. Unlike a few of the people named here, he has an edge so,times. |

Generally a decent person; no bad sides to them. Even though they are well known they aren't 'up' themselves.
I hope that makes sense.....it does in my head
Big surprise about Lorraine Kelly. Sounds a bit of a nippy sweetie. Lol |

Another admirer of K. Reeves here. And I'd mention Angelina Jolie. Not only absolutely beautiful but the humanitarian work she does is outstanding, plus she is rarely on the tabloid dramas. |

The Dali Llama (might have spelt it wrong).
Every time I have seen him on television I have liked him, he seems in touch with the world and what is happening and very intelligent. |

"Gok Wan isn't as nice as he comes across on telly...
There must be a story here. Tell us!"
Ended up meeting him at the wedding dress shop where they film Say yes to the Dress Lancashire when I went with a friend to her dress fitting. Found him far from friendly and almost treated us like we were lying about the fitting and had just come to stalk him. |

There and to the left a bit |
Was going to say Dave Grohl who's already been mentioned - don't think I've ever heard a bad word said about him and only ever hear positive stories about genuinely "nice" things he's done
Two others I've always thought of as nice based on interviews I've seen them do and having read their biographies are...the actor Robert Vaughan and Dave Allen the comedian |
