It's so irritating. Ours was wired in to the electrics somehow and just would not shut up one night when our children were very very young. The alarm ended up getting hit with a hammer, we desperately needed sleep. |

We had the same issues though I battered the crap out of ours with a broom 
When they came to fix it they asked what happened "I tapped it a bit too vigorously" |
