I've never evolved beyond it... I'm still mostly stuck in the 90's alternative sound.... I'm enjoying the grunge and alt revival that seems to be taking place at the moment. Loving new bands like Marissa and the Moths! |

I’m the same. All my playlists don’t have any of the newer albums. Mainly late 90’s and early to mid 00’s |

"Its funny I've never really thought of it as Alternative since I grew up with it!
But yes I am
Really? Never, it’s often categorised as such "
Oh yeah it's categorised as that but it's not for me. Music is music. I either like it or like it less |

My taste is very wide ranging, from typical rock (def leppard, thunder etc.) all the way though to hardcore thrash via some prog metal and other off shoots.
If you’re after recommendations then why not say bands you like?
It would take far too long to list all of mine |

Definitely pre St Anger.
Was at download when Lars was sick and they had a number of stand in’s on drums inc Joey Jordison from Slipknot.
Best live set I’ve ever seen, possibly |

People genuinely seem to have such varying tastes now (or at least admit it), should it even be classed as alternative? I agree that it's mostly older stuff. The first Audiosl@ve album will always be in my rotation... Wouldn't let me type the full word ha |

I was a massive Maiden and Faith No More fan in my teens. I like a broader range of music now, but still mostly guitar based. Some of the newer rock / punk band I like are Parquet Courts, pigsx7 |

Say what..? Tiger army are more Teddy Boy, I’d say not at all like Bad Religion. If you like them try, neckromatix and living end. Oh and do you know Me First and the Gimme Gimmes? |

Korn will always be my jam (bring on the “nu metal” hate)
It needs to be heavy, with a groove and decent singing.
Some older stuff we still include are ill Nino, Mudvaybe, Motorgrater, Fear Factory etc. there is plenty of newer stuff we also enjoy like Tetrarch, Bury Tomorrow, Exotype, I Prevail, Mushroomhead, Gemini Syndrome, Nothing More, FFDP etc. |
