What do you do when you need soothing?
Is it food, drink (alcoholic or non alcoholic)
Chocolate, a book, something you watch or listen to?
Snuggling with a person or a pet, or a floofy blanket? |

Chocolate, and that is my biggest downfall. If I'm stressed, upset, worried, tired or just fed up I will reach for the chocolate. I also rear chocolate when I'm happy too. I just love chocolate but it doesn't like my waist line.

There and to the left a bit |
I don't really have one to be honest - if something is niggling me I usually just work it through in my head or if really needed find someone I know I can talk to and work it through with them, including getting any required head wobbles along the way. |

All the above !
Food, usually breakfast cereals which take me back to childhood.
Lots of old favourite music and films with good memories attached.Films probably something funny, music probably something melancholy.
And for comforting bodily contact in lockdown it's my beautiful dog. |

I am an emotional eater, so if I need soothing I would want chocolate.
I also need cuddles and to be held tightly... I recently had a shock whilst out on a early morning run and was almost knocked over by a minibus. I continued the run as I was injury free and miles from home but as soon as I got home I went straight to my boyfriend and collapsed into him crying.

when he isn't here to play with my hair and calm me down, i have a little fluffy octopus teddy called Olive that I'll snuggle.
but sometimes it doesn't work.. no amount of teddies or good music or funny tiktoks or rewatching greys anatomy for the zillionth time.. and i end up self destructing.. and ill be fragile and needy for days until i snap out of it and mania hits again.
it's a balancing act that i don't manage well.
be kind to yourself beautiful.

Anxiety pain or need I head to my wife’s breasts and snuggle in between then until calm.

If we are together then C’s head on my chest always comforts us both...it’s our default setting.
I’d say chocolate for C when I’m not around and a walk in the mountains for me to clear my mind always works...

Reading. Baking then eating whatever deliciousness I've cooked. I'm trying to stop the latter so now I have a hair brush from my partner and watch something daft as he does it. That really helps soothe me.
Sometimes I go for a jog - getting sweaty and being in the headspace where I don't focus on "stuff" helps a lot; my mind clears and for once I'm not thinking about everything. |

Depends how tired I am...a bath and a glass of wine is great when I'm tired, but if I'm just emotionally fragile then going for a walk somewhere pretty is a good healer for me. That and seeing my friends. |

Depends on what it is if I need to be alone, out up on the hills by myself.
Sometimes is sex and a cwtch after it.
Food although I turn to it, is more a stress thing and I don't get long term comfort from it. |

If I’m stressed or worked up about something I tend to go for run with music pumping. Or music in general tends to take my mind off it, the louder the better A glass of wine(or 2) is my other comfort if I’m stressed/anxious(which I know it’s bad as it can sometimes make it worse) Freya |

A familiar feel good film
Hot chocolate with squirty cream up to the ceiling and marshmallow sprinkles.
Blanket
Dog/kid cuddles
Sad song playlist so I can cry if I need to.
A walk or sit in the garden for a bit listening to the birds tweeting with a cup of tea.
Hot bubble bath.
